Modern Tackle on Stamp the Wax
Jane in Palma is the moniker of Californian artist Julian Smith; an outlet for his explorations into live and sequenced productions and the use of experimental recording processes.
Having previously operated under the alias Don Froth, he released music for the likes of WNCL Recordings, Phonica White and UNO! NYC between 2010 and 2016. He turned his attention to his Jane in Palma project in 2018 with his first album, Primitive Thoughts, seeing him interpret the surroundings of his recording locations – two empty caves on the island of Mallorca – and the feelings of isolation that these places engendered.
