Pitchfork Review: VAP

"VAP", a new single from Los Angeles mainstay Don Froth's forthcoming REflex EP, is another left turn for the label. The just-under-five-minute tune deftly matches time-slowed synth madness with the kind of big, booming bass sounds that have marked some of UK label Night Slugs' more heavy-hitting material. The REflex EP is out December 11 via UNO, and it comes with a remix of the title track from Detroit techno legend Anthony "Shake" Shakir (whose 2009 compendium, Frictionalism 1994-2009, is a must-listen if you haven't heard it already).
