Album Art Direction + Design
12”, 10”, 7”, CD & Tapes

One overcast San Diego day in 1985 was the day I discovered my brother’s tape collection. Without knowing it then, this discovery would have a profound and everlasting effect on my musical as well art driven youth. In Cameron’s glove box lay a trove of hand drawn tapes - different typefaces for different bands, intrepreting sound with a visual form - all accompanied with written tracklists / liner notes etc. This sparked a lifelong journey deep in the album art vaults. Fast forward 30 odd years, here are a few case studies of album related design I have made for my own music as well as for others.
