Triturbo | Group Show | Julian Smith, Toni Salom, Marcos Santamaria
Natalia Bento Gallery, Alaró, Islas Baleares, Spain
Inaguration October 5th at 19:30h
Exposition from October 5th until November 16th, 2024
The exhibition “Triturbo” brings together three artists who, from different perspectives, explore the tension between the primitive and the fast-paced modern world. The choice of the exhaust tube as the central figure is no accident. In “Triturbo,” the tube takes the shape of a dinosaur, a creature that evokes the ancient, the primitive, something that was once slow and monumental. Its role in contemporary society is tied to the speed at which the world moves, transports, and consumes. The tube, a crucial element of today’s world, is also a channel of pollution and excess—a line that connects energy and constant flow, but at the same time, symbolizes collapse.
